This hearing is an opportunity for good news, ways that we can make the taxpayer dollar go further. The opening statement from the gentleman from the other side did not seem to focus on that. Instead, tossed the usual partisan rhetoric about gutted programs and so on and so forth. We have with us the Honorable Angela Antonelli, who is the Chief Financial Officer of the Department of Housing and Urban Development; the Honorable Thomas Dorr is the Under Secretary for Rural Development at the Department of Agriculture.
