Our last witness on the first panel is Mr. Marvin Berenson, who is the senior vice president and general counsel of Broadcast Music, Inc., or bmi. Mr. Berenson holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from Boston University. He is the past treasurer and currently serves as a member of the Copy right Society of the USA and as a board member of the American Copyright Council. He is also a member of the executive committee of the International Literary and Artistic Association and of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
