Another fine book and even better than the chior boys. For anybody who works in law enforcement or would like to this book gives you an amazing insight into the live of a 1960's LA cop.

This must rank as Wambaugh's finest work of fiction. It is a much more serious book than The Choirboys;looking at the lives of three police academy graduates as they progress through their careers. The book is extremely sad in parts as it accurately portrays the pressure that police work puts on both professional and personal relationships.I've read it three times and still never tire of it..It's a really great book.
